By using the services provided by My Exemption Check, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you ("property owner" or "you") agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
1. Customized Reports:
Each report generated by My Exemption Check; LLC is customized based on the information provided in the questionnaire. It is essential that you provide accurate and complete information in the questionnaire. Any errors or failure to provide key information that results in certain savings not being acknowledged is the responsibility of the property owner.
2. Responsibility for Exemptions and Portability:
Filing for exemptions and/or portability is ultimately the responsibility of the property owner. If you choose to utilize our filing services, it remains your responsibility to verify that all filings have been accepted by the local property appraiser's office. You acknowledge that it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that the filings have been properly filed in a timely manner. Failure to respond to My Exemption Check, LLC with requested information and/or documentation may result in late filing and/or lost savings.
3. In-Person Filings:
It is important to note that in certain counties, some exemptions may require filing in person by the taxpayer. My Exemption Check, LLC does not assume responsibility for this requirement, and it remains your responsibility to fulfill such obligations if they apply in your jurisdiction.
4. Publicly Available Information:
All information and exemptions provided by My Exemption Check; LLC can be found in the public domain at the local property appraiser's website as well as the Florida Department of Revenue. We do not provide exclusive or proprietary information; our services are based on publicly available data.
5. No Legal or Financial Advice:
My Exemption Check, LLC does not provide legal or financial advice. Our services are for informational purposes only. You should consult with your attorney, accountant, or tax advisor for personalized advice related to your specific situation.
6. No Guarantee of Outcomes:
My Exemption Check, LLC cannot guarantee specific outcomes or savings as a result of our services. The availability of exemptions and their eligibility criteria may vary, and we do not control these factors.
7. Use of Your Information:
We will handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as necessary to carry out any services we are providing for you.

Pricing Policy
At My Exemption Check, we offer transparent, results-driven pricing tailored to the specific service you need.
1. Property Tax Reduction Appeal
Upfront Fee: $125 (non-refundable)
This covers initial research, filing, and case preparation, including communications with the county and submission of any required petitions.
Contingency Fee: 25% of the first year’s tax savings
This fee is only charged if we are successful in reducing your property’s assessed value. If no reduction is achieved, no contingency fee is owed.
Appraisals:
Our standard fee does not include a formal appraisal. If an independent appraisal is recommended or requested, it is the client's responsibility to obtain and pay for it separately.
2. Portability Appeal
Flat Fee: $1,200
This service includes full preparation, filing, and representation in a Value Adjustment Board (VAB) hearing for appeals related to portability errors or under-assessed market values impacting the transfer of your Save Our Homes benefit.
3. Comprehensive Portability Report
Flat Fee: $400
We provide a customized written report that analyzes the value of your portability benefit in financial terms — often used for marital settlements or pre-sale tax planning.
4. Hourly Consulting
Rate: $225/hour
For advisory work outside of our core services — including legal strategy, documentation review, or expert support — our standard hourly consulting rate applies.
General Terms

Our services do not delay your responsibility to pay your property tax bill by the county’s deadline.

You are responsible for providing any documentation requested by the county in a timely manner.

We cannot guarantee a specific outcome, as all determinations are made by the Property Appraiser’s Office and/or the Value Adjustment Board.
By using the services of My Exemption Check, LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and My Exemption Check, LLC.
